What skin issues does Lumecca treat?
Sun damage, freckles, age spots, redness, and rosacea.
Does it hurt?
It feels like a rubber band is well tolerated.
Most patients describe the sensation as a mild snap or flick (similar to a rubber band), followed by in the treated area. A cooling tip on the handpiece helps maintain comfort.
Is there any recovery time?
Redness may last a few hours. You can return to normal activities immediately.
You may experience:

  • Redness for a few hours
  • Darkening of pigmented spots (which then flake off in 3–7 days)
  • Mild swelling or sensitivity for 24–48 hours in some cases
Is it safe for all skin types?
Lumecca is most effective and safest for Fitzpatrick skin types I–III (fair to medium). It may not be suitable for darker skin tones due to the risk of hyperpigmentation. A consultation is required to determine eligibility.
Can Lumecca be combined with other treatments?
Yes. It can be paired with:
